Observership

The aim of this program is to provide a basic overview and relevant clinical experience in General Neurology, Paediatric Neurology, Neurosurgery.

Definition of “Observer”. “Observer” will be the term used for all qualified medical students or physicians trained who wish to enhance their knowledge in either branch of neurosciences. The Observer must have graduated from a medical college in India or an equivalent. The Observer will not participate in the care, decision making or execution of the clinical medical plans. Patient contact is not allowed. All Observers must be proficient in the English language.

Duration of Observership. The duration of the Observership will be one month or at the discretion of the respective consultant.

Education. The Observers are expected to participate in Patient Rounds and Conferences. They will also have an opportunity to spend time in relating departments and labs. They will also have an opportunity to observe in the outpatient clinics.

Cost. The Observer is expected to take care of his/her expenses. No benefits, salary or stipends are provided to the Observer. The Observer is expected to take care of their own room and board. Each candidate is responsible for providing his/her own medical insurance. This is a non-funded program.
