Dr. Kalyani is a Senior Consultant and Epileptologist at Sagar Hospitals, Banshankari. She completed her MBBS from Government Medical College, Aurangabad, and then went on to finish her DM in Neurology from NIMHANS, Bangalore, where she received the title of Best Outgoing Student of the Year 2010 and a gold medal.

With her passion in Neurophysiology, she did a post-doctoral fellowship in EEG at the prestigious Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram, an Institute of National Importance under the Government of India.

Dr. Kalyani further pursued her career interest with various presentations at national and international conferences and has many publications in peer reviewed journals to her credit. Prior to starting her work in India at Sagar Hospitals, she gathered further specialty experience in planning epilepsy surgeries and invasive monitoring, including Subdural and Stereo EEG in children at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Florida.

She is an Executive Committee Member of the Indian Epilepsy Association, Bangalore, and believes in comprehensive care for epilepsy patients with an emphasis on increasing awareness. Patients with Refractory Epilepsy, especially those who might be amenable to surgical intervention, are her forté and she is a proud member of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Surgery team at Sagar Hospitals.
